Chicago Region Course MarshalsResponsibilitiesThe main responsibility of the Course Marshals is to clear the track of disabled vehicles. These cars may have serious mechnical damage or may have simply ran out of gas (which happens more often than you think). In either case, they need to be towed back into their paddock by our group. Other responsibilities include the distribution of track equipment, cleaning debris off the race surface with our "sweep team", and retrieval of information from the corners to be given to Race Control.
